Are your sheets piling up on every floor of your closet? To simplify your daily life, Carré Blanc reveals its tips for folding, sorting, and storing your sheets quickly and organizedly.

5 tips for tidy and organized storage

Storing your sheets depends on your preferences and storage space. To make things easier and save time on a daily basis, we recommend:

· Store the sets in the pillowcases

To simplify packing your sheets, fold the fitted sheet, duvet cover, and pillowcases. Then, tuck them into a matching pillowcase—your bedding sets will be bundled together and ready to use!

· Sort them by categories

If you don't want to sort them by complete set, sort them by category: single and double bed or adult bedroom and child's bedroom, for example. You can also organize them by bed linen item (flat sheet, pillowcase, etc.), or order them by color, size, or material.

· Roll up sheets to save space

Short on space? Try storing your sheets vertically. To do this, fold the sheet lengthwise into a long, thin rectangle, then roll it up. This method is quick and easy to use, and also helps prevent creases. To create a complete set, fold each piece (fitted sheet, pillowcase, etc.) into a rectangle, place them on top of each other, and roll them together.

· Keep three sets of bed linens per bed maximum

To keep your closets clutter-free, having three sets of sheets per bed on hand is enough. Keep only your favorite sheets and store the excess in vacuum-sealed bags. These compact sheets protect your sheets from dust and optimize your space. If your closets are overflowing with old sheets, this is also a good time to sort through them and donate or recycle them!

· Differentiate the sheets

In a large family, sheets get mixed up and sorting them quickly becomes a complex task. The solution? Sew distinctive signs like ribbons of different colors. This way, you can sort them by size (220x240, 1 person, etc.) or by room (master bedroom, guest room, etc.) and differentiate them at a glance.

Storing your sheets: how to preserve them?

Dust, dust mites, light, humidity... So many elements can damage your beautiful sheets. To keep them looking impeccable over the years, we recommend:

· Keep them dry

Moisture is your sheets' enemy! If they're sticky or have yellowish streaks, your storage space isn't dry enough. In fact, never store your sheets while they're still damp: the water must evaporate completely before folding. And to limit musty odors and damp stains, air out your storage space regularly.

· Prefer closed storage

To protect them from dust and dust mites, store your sheets in a closed and accessible place. Under-bed chests, boxes with lids, dresser drawers, closets... There are many solutions! Plus, a dark place prevents the colors from fading.

· Keep them fresh

You can keep unpleasant odors and moths away by placing lavender sachets at the bottom of your cupboards. Other solutions include bowls containing bath salts, cloves, or cedar balls.

· Protect delicate sheets

To protect your sheets made from delicate materials like silk satin, cover them with silk sheets. These prevent contact between the sheets and the risk of discoloration.
